As an Enrolled Agent, Sherrie A. King, EA is licensed by the US Treasury Department to represent all taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agents, CPAs and attorneys are the only professionals so licensed. She works for taxpayers, preparing returns, doing tax planning, solving tax problems and representing clients before the IRS.
Sherrie specializes in complex tax matters, audit representation, resolving collections issues and negotiations with the IRS and state agencies. She has saved clients many thousands of dollars over the years by researching intricate tax issues and achieving successful resolution with the IRS. She continues her professional education by taking classes, attending seminars and being current with the ever-changing tax laws.
Sherrie received an Accounting degree after attending Santa Monica College and California State Polytechnic College. She has held accounting and taxation positions in California, Arizona and North Carolina. She has worked in both large and small accounting firms, and as a tax specialist for several law firms. Since the early 1980s her practice has focused on issues of taxation and representation. In 1999 Ms. King founded the successful firm of King Tax & Accounting, which provides services in tax preparation and planning for businesses, individuals, corporations, trusts and estates, and represents taxpayers in IRS controversies, requests for Innocent Spouse Relief and Offers in Compromise.
