                We are thrilled to announce that our ?cloud? QuickBooks service is up and ready for you to join us.  In our tests, we have found the tool to be surprisingly easy to use; you will be working on a ?virtual? desktop that looks and acts like your own.  You will have 24/7 access to your own financial information from any computer in the world and an automatic backup routine performed by the remote server at least daily that will free you from the worry of local computer crashes.  The data is secured on a redundant server system with several different physical locations.  This means no more corrupt data, no more copying your data files to a CD or flash drive to bring to our office and the knowledge that our staff is able to get into your files simultaneously and show you the solutions to your questions right on your screen with the remote ?shadowing? capability, much as tech support people use now.  You can print reports right to your own office printer with no special programming.  If you are using a Mac, you will be able to access it in the same way as Windows users can.  You will have the ability to get your information, whether input by you or by us, at the touch of a key for your own review or for your bankers or investors.  Think of it as you do your online banking, which is the same technology that we have all grown comfortable with.

                We here have been so excited watching and learning the system that we can?t wait to share with you.  The cost of the service is $49.00 per month, which will be billed to your credit card by the hosting company, InSynq.  This fee replaces any fees you have been paying for QuickBooks Online Edition (generally $34.95 per month) and runs on your own QuickBooks license without expensive new upgrades each year.  There is a one-time set-up fee of $25.00, which we will waive to you, our first adapters.  Unlike the Online Edition you will have a fully functional desktop version of QuickBooks 2008, 2009 or 2010 (for Windows or Mac), which includes all of the applications found in any desktop version.  The ease of use is remarkable, and we are always here to walk you through any steps of the process until you are completely at ease with the system.

                In order to get started as quickly as possible we will need a bit of information for the initial set-up.  We will register you with your own QuickBooks license; you can find that license and its product number by opening your copy of QuickBooks, going to the ?help? drop-down menu and click on ?About QuickBooks?.  You will see the license number and product number displayed there to give to us to let the service verify your license.  If you do not already own a copy of QuickBooks and don?t wish to buy one, you can ?rent? the license from the hosting company for $15.00 per month.  Remember, this would replace the need to go out to buy your own program every year or two.   From the time we input your information to the server there is a turnaround time of up to 72 hours (usually much less), then you will be using your very own QuickBooks on your very own private drive.

                We are, as most of you know, extremely excited to be able to offer this service to make our interactions with you ?real-time? and allow you to understand your financial information better.  It gives us that transparency that we all have been talking about over the last decade.  So please call our office with any questions or to give us your license and product numbers by February 12, 2010 so that we can make this a reality as soon as next week.  As we all get more adept at this technology we will be adding features, such as voice messaging and the ability to fax directly to your file from your computer.  We like to think that we?re one of the few accounting firms with our heads in the clouds, but our feet on the ground, and that we will have a rewarding experience together.
